Bella With Balloons A Little Naked today :)

Good evening to you all in the land of blog
Over the weekend, I got to play, and boy did I play :)

Well it was better than watching the rain continuously coming down and flooding the garden.

I decided to try my hand again at the Less Is More Challenge

who had a sketch to follow, well one of two actually  - circular or square, I went with the square one.

Now I would like to say I had not been drinking when I took these photographs although the weather did drive us to it and I know it is naked, non of my usual over kill of embellishments :)  But think the image says it all with out.
I made a Birthday Card
The base layer and contrast is a holographic purple card.
The sentiment is from the little labels set from Wild Rose Studios

I chose the Image Bella With Balloons which you can find here along with all the other gorgeous images of this cute little elephant.  I coloured her in with my copics in the Warm Greys and the BV, R and V colour themes.
If you want to see more of the collection or be inspired by others hop and see us on

Bella's Birthday

Good morning to you all in the land of blog, which I have to say is a little drier than outside at the moment, which meant that as Matt was working yesterday, I got to play in my Beach Hut :)
I made quite a few cards, some for DT's but then brought them all down for colouring last night whilst watching Britain's got Talent.

Anyway here is one of the cards I made just because I wanted to :)
I made a birthday card in some lovely bright colours (pretending the sun was out), the inside is decorated to match the outside of the card.

Recipe
Base Card and Contrast - Sunshine yellow paper
Designer Papers Wild Rose Studio - Bella Papers
Image Wild Rose Studio - Bella's Birthday
Sentiment Wild Rose Studio - from the Little Labels set
Pearls - Tiny and small from Hobby House
Butterflies (Cheery Lynn) - from Grimsby Crafts
Stickles glitter on the distressed edges, blue large pearls and liquid pearls on the body of the butterflies from stash.

Here is a close up of the image, coloured in copics, the balloon has a layer of glossy accents and lots of tiny pearls.
Don't you just love these Bella images :)

Grab Yourself Some Tea as Anything Goes with the House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge

Good morning to you all in the land of blog
Today sees the next fabulous challenge at the

The theme today is

Now I thought I would move a little back into my altered art mode, so I spent a good couple of days creating a tea chest, originally a blank hardboard chest, which I decided would nicely hold different flavour teas.  You see my brother was drinking lots of these teas whilst going through his chemo, however think it may now be a little redundant as he is now able to drink all sorts :)

But do not forget to hop on over to the main challenge site to see the rest of the gorgeous eye candy to inspire you.

So here it is
Where to start with this one, well I used gesso to give it an all over coat, I then sanded this down.  I then used a wet wipe and some pale green acrylic paint and smudged on some green.  Followed with a few liberal coats of crackle glaze and another coat of sand acrylic paint.  Once dry I then scuffed it up with a sanding block before giving it a nice dust down.  Then the TH vintage photo distress ink and a make up sponge came out and I gave it a good distressing (you should see my fingers I do so love to get mucky).  I then over stamped with a gorgeous delicate floral border, before adding some additional embellishments.

The image was stamped, coloured with copics, and then given several liberal coats of high gloss embossing powder, before being thrown in the freezer, now at this point I decided to take a snooze, I asked the husband for half an hour and he forgot me.  Luckily for me it only added to the cracked glass effect on the image, that then was scuffed up a bit more with the TH ink
The image is called
CHAMOMILE TEA
available here

Now just a few close ups for you
the little draws

The little tea roses and the laced and pearl edged cracked glass image

Some of the pearls decorating the corners where the flowers are not, I also added these around the bottom.
I would like to thank all of my wonderful visitors who take the time to leave me such inspirational and kind comments, and this then allows me to hop on over and visit you in return.

I would like to enter this creation into the following challenges

Fashionable Stamping - Embossing (on the image to get the high gloss for the cracked glass effect)

The Craft Place - Anything but a square or rectangle
The Stamp Man - Shabby Chic / Distressed

Wrapped With Love and Exciting News

Hello to you all in the land of blog
Today I am showcasing another of the fabulous images from Wild Rose Studio's along with the matching papers.  I know over the past few months you will have noticed that I have been using these image quite a lot.

So here is the angled photograph of the card that shows how the inner is decorated to match the outer.
This image is called "Wrapped With Love" and the papers are "Bella Papers" a perfect combination, I have used the "Birthday Circles" for the Sentiment.
I have contrasted the gorgeous papers with a lemon card and used my MS punch around the page to create a delicate feel to the card.
Other additions are the
Nellie Snellen Multi Frame Die - Round the small one twice for the circle sentiment to sit on
Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts
Small pearls from the Hobby  House in purple
Tiny pearls from the Hobby House in the original white

Here is a close up of the fabulous image, coloured in with copics.  I have added tiny pearls to the centre of the flowers on the present.

Now I know I kept you in suspense,
I hate this when someone does this to me,
but then love doing it myself :)

I recently applied for a DT post with Wild Rose Studio on facebook after seeing it advertised by Lols one of their existing DT's, I applied as did lots and lots of others  and was thrilled to receive an e mail from Matt and Dulcie asking me if I was still interested.  Interested, blimey took me all of a mile-second to answer and was so excited that I could hardly type
oh and of course I said YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So you may have noticed the addition of this quietly on my side bar the other day, however officially today I can say

I am Thrilled to be part of a fabulous DT for Wild Rose Studio's
working with some very very talented ladies and with Matt and Dulcie

Do hope you will hop over to Facebook and join us all
