Happy 18th Son

Good morning to you all

and welcome to the next challenge at

where the theme is

For the Men

and here is my inspiration, however do hope over and see the rest of the great eye candy from the Buttons team.

I have made an 8" square card using my black grey and yellow and some of my more masculine embossing folders.  The image is a silhouette cameo svg file and is a silhouette cut and I love how these come out.  I added some silhouette cut sentiments the 19th and the Son before adding lots of pearls a charm a car to match the image and of course the fabulous ribbon from Crafty Ribbons
Fresh Stripe Ribbon - Black
which I have wrapped around all layers before adding the image and then just tied a knot in a short piece to glue on the top.

Love how this turned out.

A Little Home Decor

Good morning

Today as you know by now is my day to share with you some inspiration using those gorgeous products from

so

Using
Die - Emmeline Flower

I made a decorated glass

I used some double sided sticky paper to cut out the die, removed one side of the tape and placed carefully on the glass, I cut the tape at the flower/leaves junction and removed the leaves section, glittering up in the green fine glitter before removing the flower head and using fine purple glitter. I then made sure it stayed there by using modge podge carefully twice.  You can only wash this in cold water otherwise it will come off.

I thought I would also show you a photo of my newest member of the family with our current resident, this is Star the big girl and Gem the little one with my son Mike.

As always I would like to say hello to all my new followers and thank you to all my regular visitors, your comments always make me smile................. will be over shortly to say hello.

So Sorry You Are Leaving ....................

Good morning to you all

and a Happy Bank Holiday too

This is the first bank holiday in two years that I have been able to spend it with my family, thank you to the new job, which is going fine.

The card I am sharing with you today is one that I made again at the request of my boss for one of my team that was leaving.  Such a lovely lady who will be sadly missed I am sure, but who is moving on to improve her life and build her own business.  She is brilliant at all she does and I am sure things will work out perfectly for her.

As I had done so many leaving cards in a short space of time, I tried to vary the colours for each one, so this one I went with a vibrant yellow to suit the personality of our lovely lady.

This is another 8" square card with extra leaves for those all important special messages to make it a real keepsake.  It again was in a crisp white depth card box.

I used Distress inks to get the tone on tone colour on this card.  I coloured up the edge of the first layer.  Used the ink through the embossing folder to get a hint of colour on the white layer, along with those pretty debossed images.  The grand oval scallop again coloured up the edges, I distressed through the grand oval die for the soft look around the sentiment.  The sentiment was computer generated.  I finished off with one of my triple layer triple depth bows, a rhinestone button, little pearls and an array of florals.  Such a fresh looking card.

I would like to thank all of my lovely followers for their lovely comments, which allows me to pop over to visit you all in return.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges

Oh Baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning to you all

As I write this post I note that on this day I will have spent almost my first week in my new job role.  I have had lots more time to be creative and have felt much more relaxed, so I created this little card in some of my relax time.

Oh and I ought not to forget to say

Happy Anniversary to my wonderfully supportive Hubby Matt xxx love you hun!
I know he reads my posts

This card will be on my sales page,

It is a 15cm square top opening card, which comes in a white depth box.

The base layer and contrast is a lovely soft pink, I added some of those gorgeous Wild Rose Studio Papers.  The image is cut from the square pierced MFT dies.  I added a spellbinders banner with a Woodware sentiment, a double double bow made with ribbon from Crafty Ribbons and some of those lovely little pink pearls.  To finish I added a rhinestone heart and two little pink roses to the bow.

Here is that sweet image coloured in copics, so adorable, although I must start to concentrate on some more male cards for my box now ;)

I would like to say hello to my new followers and thank all of my visitors who leave such wonderful comments to make me smile, and that allow me to hop over to see you in return.

Here is the image coloured this time in copics.

Mixed Media Just 4 You

Good morning to you all

As this posts, I will be getting ready for my first day at my new job eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!!!!!
I am sure I will be fine.

Today's creation is something I have wanted to play at for sometime, and I needed to make a present for my old boss for being so fabulous, we worked so well together over the two years, so I could not think of anything better to make for her.

I have never done any mixed media canvasses before and have had my canvasses for probably the full two years I worked with her, that they needed a dust before I got started.
I found them when I had my clear out.

Okay so here it is, I hope you like it

I had great fun with my spritzers and my texture paste through my stencils.  I found this little heart in the Range and added a sentiment to it before adding lots of flowers, wooden things, metal things an old necklace, charms bling well actually anything I could find, some of them are from SSS.  I used my new glue gun to glue them all in place and once dry I coated everything in gesso, I love how it softened the pinks and greens from the original spraying.  I then used my distress ink re inkers and painted the flowers in several colours before adding some guilding wax in silver to all the alternative embellies to make them stand out.  I covered the whole lot with a layer of decoupage lacquer in matt and I am thrilled with it.

Here are some closeups

and here is the full thing again

Will be creating some more for my bedroom walls I think

As always thank you to all of my lovely visitors for your wonderful comments, and I will be hoping to see you later

Celebration Candy Winner

Good morning to you all

Today is the day, yesterday was my last day in my old job, it was quite an emotional day, as I work with some wonderful people with hearts of gold.

This is a long post but I had to do it.

Thursday was my last day at the other campus and I managed not to use my tissues, it was lovely being able to say goodbye to everyone especially the learners who if I have not mentioned are learners with disabilities or difficulties, one was brilliant shaking my hand and bowing low for me.  I got a lovely gift made especially for me by one of my team, using the cameo and a mirror (I will share with you shortly)  I am so pleased I introduced him to the silhouette and I broke my diet twice, once at lunch to east some of the famous lemon drizzle from the exam officer who treated me to a new mug and coaster - perfect for my new job and one of the learners was celebrating a birthday so a little chocolate cake too, all the learners had signed a card for me so very special and will treasure these and the card from the staff.

Yesterday I arrived to a lovely gift from my peer a support package for my new post, a bottle of wine and a packet of ciggy's.  With a lovely card with a heart felt note, managed a hug and no tears phew!!
The day was lovely I managed to cleanse and complete everything I needed to for the hand over in the afternoon, for lunch the catering ladies had specially prepared some old school chocolate concrete with chocolate custard, I had joked that it would be nice on my last day and they were fabulous and provided it.

I said my farewell's to the learners with lots of hugs and well wishes, before leaving for our leaving run.  there were five of us on the leaving run, actually leaving and a special group of colleagues to give us a right good send of.

Here is the photo from the evening
left to right
Carol, Karen, Linda, Ashley, Sue, Alice, Clair, Mags, Annette, moi, Karen, Cherry, Bev, Pamela and Lucy
The ice bucket and sparkly celebration bottle Karen and I shared and Karen got us.

I got some lovely leaving gifts and would like to thank everyone for their kind words and the gifts.

Here is the photo of all of the gifts and cards :)

The gorgeous mirror with etched bow swirls and at the bottom out of view the very thought full swallow - which I am told migrates but then comes back :) A lovely selection of cards with such heartfelt comments in from both staff and learners.  A gorgeous scented candle. A bottle of Glenfiddich and two etched whisky tumblers from my boss, the glasses etched by one of my team an artist in precision creating with wonderful sentiment on them from my boss and my peer (there are little stags around the top depicting my love of Glenfiddich). A gorgeous mug and matching coaster from the exams officer, a mug made by a learner, my favorite Yankee candle tarts, a pack of ciggys and a lovely bracelet (wearing it now to think of them all), I am so very lucky to have made such fabulous friends, we are all going to keep in touch.
Thank you to each and every one of you.

Anyway my reason for being with you all today is of course to tell you who is celebrating with me and has won the celebration candy

Remember the winner will win this lovely selection of Wild Rose Studio goodies.

Drum roll please.......................................................

Good morning to you all

Today is my day to inspire you with some of those gorgeous products from

I have made a Thinking of You female card today and used the gorgeous

Vintage Rose Ribbon - Purple/Purple

This ribbon is soft delicate and transparent so was the perfect touch for this female card

The card blank is created from nested labels from the silhouette online store, this then allow you to use the other nested layers to create the layers and image plate on your card, love doing this, so quick.

I used those pretty papers from Wild Rose Studio. A Charm, a rose and a pearl medallion along with some pearls to finish it off.

The image coloured in copics another of my very old ones and this one shame on me never used,  with glossy accents for the bubbles and some glitter sprinkled over the top.

That gorgeous ribbon tied in a double layer double width bow.

I decided to follow the sketch at Sketch Saturday

I wanted to make another Father's day card

I found some lovely Papermania papers and matched them to create this little number.  I had not used this image for quiet sometime and it is one from so many years ago,  so thought I would play with it too.

So here is my creation
I turned the sketch on it's side

This is an A2 side folded card

I have used the navy blue as the base layer and contrast and layered up the strips using MS doily punched edged layers.  I added some Crafty Ribbons lace under the bottom layer and a strip of ribbon on the top one,  before adding the image and it's surround which I used my MFT pierced oval dies.  No pearls on this one as it was already starting to look very feminine oops

The image on this one has been coloured in copics

I would like to welcome my new followers and thank all of my lovely commenters for their lovely comments, I will be over to see you shortly.

Good morning

Today as you know is my day to share with you some inspiration of those gorgeous products from

Wild Rose Studio

I made a father's day card with those fabulous teddies printed panels

Using
Panel - Teddies

The base of this card was made with a design slightly altered from the silhouette online shop.  I used the lovely mint textured card underneath and matched the pearls to this before using the My Favorite Things pierced rectangle dies to cut out the panel and frame it in the mint card.  A simple card but love how it turned out.

Don't forget I have candy running in the sidebar if you have not already entered

It's a Girl!!

Good morning everyone

Now I decided yesterday morning that I was going to make a card to enter into

You see Matt has gone fishing with the lads for the week, he is going to enjoy himself so I thought I would too, by creating in my craft room, although I had to cut the grass, do the washing, do the shopping oh and make a decal for Mike's car first, you can imagine how quick I was :)

Funnily enough my first every house mouse stamp was this cutie so I just had to use it and it seemed quite fitting as I was listening to the news.

So here is my little creation

This is an A2 top folded card using pinks and whites and comes in a lovely crisp white box.

The base layer and contrast is some lovely pink card, the base layer is as it is, however the second pink layer has been dry embossed.  The first white layer has also been dry embossed, and then it has been distressed with TH DI Spun Sugar before adding some glitter.

The next layer is the pink with that gorgeous spellbinder die on the top again the edges on this have been distressed and a row of pearl strings has been added.  The ribbon was then wrapped around this layer before adding to the card.  Oh almost forgot to say all layers have been raised with foam tape.

The top layer has been distressed through the die before stamping the image.

The ribbon created this lovely double layer double length bow finishing off with tails on the other side, a little rose, a pearl medallion and a charm dummy.

The inside matches.

And this is that first ever house mouse stamp, you can see why I got addicted to them so easily.
I used my copics to colour them up.

As always I would like to thank all of my wonderful visitors and followers and welcome my new followers.  I will be over for a visit in a short while.

Don't forget if you have not already entered I have some celebration candy in the side bar.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges

In the Pink - Fussy and Fancy or CAS
My Time to Craft - New Baby
Sister Act Cards - Anything Goes
Simon Says Wednesday - Anything Goes

Hugs and enjoy the rest of your bank holiday weekend
